Equipment and supplies are integral to the success of any recreational program. For programs at the National Ability Center, adaptive equipment (defined as any modification designed to help children or adults with disabilities ‘adapt’ equipment to work with their unique abilities) is a key factor in someone’s sport experience and their decision to continue to participate.

Adaptive sports equipment can be as simple as straps and padding to adjust to a person’s individual abilities on a standard bike or as complicated as a specially designed and molded mono-ski. No matter how simple or complicated, thoughtful use of adaptive equipment enables individuals to be more independent and successful in the sport or activity they enjoy.

The list below contains our on-going requests for support. For a more detailed list of current equipment needs (including pricing), please e-mail equipment@discovernac.org or call 435.649.3991. Your support ensures we have high quality adaptive equipment and the latest technology to support success and achievement for our participants – in sport and in life.
