Sled hockey is a Paralympic sport allowing people with physical disabilities affecting lower limbs to use sleds to move around the ice. Other than this adaptation, the rules are very similar to able-bodied hockey games. It is a high energy, rowdy and incredibly fast paced game.

The National Ability Center adopted the Utah Grizzlies Sled Hockey team in the spring of 2005. Now known as the National Ability Center Golden Eagles, the team is continually looking for new players interested in learning more about the sport and playing in local and regional competitions.
The sled hockey team meets at the Park City Ice Arena for practice two times a week just below the National Ability Center’s ranch. The NAC has hosted the Great Salt Cup Sled Hockey Tournament since 2005. Teams have come from New England, Colorado, New Hampshire, Arizona, Illinois, Texas, and California.
The Golden Eagles are also part of the Western Sled Hockey League and took home the championship in the inaugural 2008 WSHL season. The team finished its first season undefeated after playing in a round robin in the other team's cities. Games were played in Sacramento, Park City, Phoenix and Denver.
