Jake and Rebecca Risch Share Possibility

The National Ability Center is one big, warm community. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to try new things and push their limits.”

When a sit skier caught the imaginations of Houston twins, Jake and Rebecca Risch, their family vacation at Deer Valley Resort became an opportunity to make an impact. With a little research and a visit to the National Ability Center, the Risches found the National Ability Center to be the perfect Mitzvah project for their upcoming B’nai Mitzvah.

As Rebecca says, “The National Ability Center is one big, warm community. Everyone is welcomed and encouraged to try new things and push their limits.”

So, Jake and Rebecca hosted a ski-a-thon, encouraging friends and family to pledge donations based on runs skied or a flat amount. In just three days, their efforts garnered nearly $7,500. What a great example of kids helping kids!

We are proud to call the Risches part of our family. Because Jake and Rebecca stretched themselves, putting their ingenuity and drive to work, our community has grown to help many more uncover new possibilities.
