Come join a passionate group of talented individuals and create relationships, experiences and memories all year long! Volunteer in Park City with the National Ability Center and in Salt Lake and Moab with our Splore programs

Outdoor recreation and enriching times are ahead of you as part of our team. The National Ability Center welcomes volunteers year round to assist within a wide selection of opportunities. Recreational programs, fundraisers, outreach events, office help and much more. Below is a list of highlighted volunteer opportunities. Summit ChallengeJoin our team of 200+ volunteers to make this event a success! Head to our Sign Up Page to see what areas are available and sign up. We have volunteer needs for day before packet pick up, registration, on course direction, event village, buddy riders and much more! Join us AUGUST 25 & August 26 for one of the largest adaptive bike challenges!

SUMMER PROGRAMS are going strong and there are so many opportunities to get involved and help others get outdoors!!!! We have needs in Archery, Aquatics, Climbing Wall, Challenge Course, Cycling,  Camps,  Equestrian, Sled Hockey and Paddle Sports (canoe, stand up paddle board)!!! 

We have high needs in our climbing wall and challenge course programs as well as cycling and paddle sports! Sign up for a training and join our amazing team of dedicated volunteers!

COMPETITION TEAM VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:                                                                                       TEAM FLYERS (our cycling competition program) has a lot of great opportunities this Summer. We are looking for PEERS (12-16) to ride with our team every Friday from 4:00pm-5:30pm, and Volunteer Leaders who have cycling experience, behavior management skills and want to help develop an amazing program to help our athletes train, set personal goals, learn sportsmanship, learn about nutrition, conditioning and so much more. They have great programs as well and need amazing and passionate volunteers! HIGH NEED!!! Front Desk & Admin Work at Salt Lake Office (4029 S. Main Street): Looking to volunteer with a great team and prefer to stay in an air conditioned building during the heat of the day? Come help our Salt Lake team with various tasks and projects for a few hours a week between 10am and 5pm email volunteer@discovernac.org if interested!

River Guides, River Crew, Drivers & Equipment Assistants Needed in MOAB!!!

8/12-8/14: Need a Guide and able crew member to help with our Ruby Horsethief Star Gazing Trip. Guide must have experience on Ruby Horsethief current First Aid/CPR and Utah Guides License. Crew member must be willing and able to lift objects up to 75lbs, and work for up to 15 hours in the hot desert sun while, maintaining a good attitude. Prior river experience is a plus.

8/16-8/17: Need a Guide with experience on the Moab Daily, must have current First Aid/CPR and Utah Guides License.

8/20 – 8/24: Need a Guide and 3 crew to help with our Fredriech’s Ataxia trip down Ruby/Horsethief/Westwater. Guide must have Westwater experience, current First Aid/CPR and Utah Guides License. Crew member must be willing and able to lift objects up to 75lbs, and work for up to 15 hours in the hot desert sun, while maintaining a good attitude. Prior river experience is a plus.

August 10th: 1-4 people to help load equipment for trips – approx. 3 hours

August 11th: 1-2 shuttle drivers – approx. 3 hours

August 15th: 1-4 people to help load equipment for trips – approx.. 3 hours

August 16th: 1-2 shuttle drivers – approx. 6 hours – trailer experience a plus

August 18th: 1-2 shuttle drivers – approx. 6 hours – trailer experience a plus

August 19th: 1-4 people to help load equipment for trips – approx. 3 hours

August 20th: 1-2 shuttle drivers – approx. 6 hours – trailer experience a plus

YEAR ROUND VOLUNTEER NEEDS

Don’t have time to dedicate to volunteering in our programs- No problem! You can still be part of our incredible mission in many other ways; Front desk/administrative both in Park City and Salt Lake offices, helping out at our lodge, helping with events, helping with set up for groups and so much more- whether it is one day a week a few times a month we need you!

Outreach: Love our Mission- help spread the word We’ll be hosting information tables at races, farmers markets, expos and fairs, and need your help! Events occur on mornings, nights and weekends, from Park City to Salt Lake, so there’s something for everyone. Email volunteer@discovernac.org to be added to the list.

Certified American Sign Language Interpreters: We can always use assistance from those certified as an ASL interpreter.
