Western Sled Hockey League
The Western Sled Hockey League is in its second season, and the NAC's Golden Eagles are looking to defend their title from the 07-08 season. The five teams participating in the WSHL for the 08-09 season will be the National Ability Center's Golden Eagles, the USA's U-20 team, the Colorado Avalanche, the Phoenix Coyotes and the Sacramento Lightning. All teams will be USA Hockey registered.
The 2008-09 Western Sled Hockey League schedule:
November 21-22, 2008 – Sacramento, California (Skatetown Ice Arena, Roseville, California)
> The Golden Eagles won three and lost one game to start the season at 3-1-0. The only loss came at the hands of the Under-20 US Sled Hockey Team.
January 9-11, 2009 – Park City, Utah (Park City Ice Arena, 600 Gillmor Way)

February 5-8, 2009 – Phoenix, Arizona (Alltel Ice Den, Scottsdale, Arizona)
> The Golden Eagles beat Colorado 5-0 and Phoenix 9-1. Again, the USA U-20 team squeaked out a win 4-3. This means the Golden Eagles will head to Colorado as the number two team in the league as the final games determine this year's champion. Good luck, Golden Eagles!
